Welcome to my website of Original fine art painting in watercolor and watermedia. I'm a professional artist who really loves painting a verity of subjects in watercolor & water media such as Gouache & Acrylics. My subjects can range from Landscapes, Seascapes, Nature, Wildlife, Sporting, Florals, and more. Typically paintings are done in watercolor and sometimes occasionally gouache is used to add detail when needed! My goal is to create great colorful paintings of places and things that people happen to miss in their daily life. I want my art to have feeling and at the same time tell a story! I live in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with my wife (Louise Whitesel) in the heart of Amish country. In that part of our state of Pennsylvania there's plenty of old barns and covered bridges to enjoy painting. In addition, we also enjoy traveling on occasion and seeing beautiful places across the country and finding new subjects to paint. A favorite subject of mine is especially the beautiful coast of Maine and New England. I hope that my art adds color & excitement to people's lives. I would like people to join me on this great colorful artistic journey and escape everyday life for just a little while. Donald M Whitesel Artist
