Pinetown Covered Bridge

This is Pinetown Covered Bridge in Lancaster, PA in the heart of Amish country. This painting was first done as a study for a much bigger painting I want to do. One winter morning I set out to gather some reference material of barns and covered bridges in around my hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A lot of old barns and bridges have character and I like to paint them. Once a well know Lancaster Artist & Gallery Manager actually told me that to many artists paint them. I was so shocked and my thought okay so what! While it's true that they're a popular subject all to often floods and fires are destroying them! I decided to re-title this painting because I thought the previous title was just a bit to long.
