While the Christmas holiday is a crazy busy time of year it's also full of creative inspiration. Having time to paint several new watercolor paintings is great! Often times finding a new colorful subject is rather easy as family and friends get ready for the holiday festivities. One of my local artist friends likes to do paintings of wreaths on doors and windows which is pretty cool. Just the colors alone gives my friend a new and different subject to paint. The use of red and green colors actually make me think about Christmas time and painting a new subject. So I'm planning to soon start an painting of a cardinal or two in the winter time on a pine tree. As you get busy with the holiday take the time to look around and maybe watch your friend's and family. That next subject might just be in front of you.
