The social media is a great way to get your art out there to be seen by people. Facebook and other media has helped me to learn about my friends and also let them get to know me better. The down side to the social media is seeing the ugly side of some people who re-act quickly without thinking.  I'll admit that I'm often surprised and amused though when someone who has known me a very long time learns that I'm an artist. The truth is I've been drawing and painting for nearly forty five years now or there about! I think for artists our language is the art and not using so many spoken words. It's the same with musicians and music too since I also play guitar. A message or feeling can be often found in art and music which is great to be able to share. As spring fast approach's my mind is starting to fill with ideas to paint and draw. I find other artists work can be a big influence and to see what they're trying to say on this journey. In the process , I've come to learn a lot about other countries which I'll never get to see. As the trees start to bloom and flower it's a good time to get busy drawing and painting outdoors on the nice days.
