New from the studio!

Don Whitesel / Comment on this

It took me about a week and a half to paint the Pansies in my latest watercolor painting to give them a more realistic look. I think this painting is a real testament though to all the years I've spent studying the art work of Charles Reid. In fact I was working on this painting when Charles Reid past away very unexpectedly. Another artist who made a major impact on me was my (well know) artist Uncle Andrew Moore of Tyrone, PA who painted florals as well! While in the studio we would often talk about art, look at books, or watch a watercolor demo. It was great fun making life long memories which I can now share. A question I'm often asked by People will often ask me how it feels to be able to paint like that. The truth is it can be quite overwhelming when you see what your imagination has helped you create! It's very common for me to think of Jesus and the great gift he has given me and I feel very humbled by it. Art entertains the heart, mind, and soul. This painting is available. www.donwhitesel.com
