Blog

It's time to write my new art blog for the fall and thanksgiving holiday season. It's amazing how our thoughts and habits re-adjust with the season. As I've gotten older, I think family time and friends are the most important to me. I appreciate the time together, and the festive holiday trimmings ago with it. Beautiful fall colors of the trees are quite a treat as an artist. That extra cup of coffee while out doing something and maybe seeing some whitetail deer is amazing. The surrounding Lancaster County area is full of wildlife and a great treat. In fact, my latest painting is titled one autumn day. When I was painting I was thinking about colorful autumn colors and sycamore trees then suddenly seeing a deer appear! The rustic countryside and old Barnes Provide some great subjects and textures to paint. It won't be long though until I'm doing winter scenes Infact there's one already started in the studio. Sometimes it's fun to just get a blank piece of watercolor paper while thinking about the season and put down those colors. The challenge is then to think about what the subject will be and start painting. By the way, now is a good time to mention that I activated a discount on my website. Customers are now able to make a offer on their favorite painting. If it's reasonable offer, I'll except it and you'll most like get a good discount too. Check it out if you like. Till next time please stay safe and have a happy holiday. www.donwhitesel.com
