Ready for Spring!

Red Roses
It's the first time in many years that we've had such a mild winter and I'm enjoying it! I can't help but realize though that perhaps at some point we'll see some of the white stuff yet this year. The snow is beautiful but, it also brings with it lot's of extra work. The truth is I'd rather be in my studio painting while it's snowing and sometimes that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm anxious for spring time and watching all the beautiful colors come in since it's so mild out. Till spring arrives I'll be content with watercolor painting and finding new subjects. This year I hope to do even more painting and also start working into acrylics again as well. I usually have a habit of saying what subject I'll paint and make predictions for the coming year but, the truth of the matter is I usually allow my creativity to be the guide an that always works best for me. I could be into doing a Seascape one minute and then turn around and do a wildlife painting the next. This much I do know is that I'm looking forward to more Plein Air painting and seeing the beautiful coast of Maine later in the summer. Till then my goal is to produce some new beautiful works of art and get them out to some gallerys.
