Where did spring time go or at least those unseasonably warm temperatures we were enjoying? One can only imagine that the cooler temperatures and old man winter wasn't going to let us off that easy this early in the year! I remember as a young man growing up and studying the beautiful impressionistic of Charles Reid, and other artist as well. My uncle professional watercolor artist Andy Moore and I spent many hours in the studio discussing and admiring the artwork of other watercolor artists. It was quite a fun time in my life and made a big impact. In fact many years ago I did a half sheet impressionistic watercolor painting that took two awards in art shows. It was a painting that I had fun doing and was full of roses an colorful flowers. In fact I plan to paint that subject again and it was of a well known Lancaster County landmark. Recently though I've been watching a DVD by Charles Reid painting still lifes and flowers an found myself inspired to do a new floral painting. I'm sure that Springtime will arrive with warmer temperatures soon! I'm ready to shake off those winter time blues and do some new colorful watercolor paintings!
