Downeast Escape 14 X 20"
|
Have you ever felt like there's never enough time in a day to get things done? This past winter went by so quickly that I enjoyed watching old movies and doing some paintings. I finally realized though that it'd been quite a long time since I put out a newsletter or blog. I really do need to commit myself to the studio again and start some new artwork. The past 4 weeks have been rather difficult though with 2 family members in the hospital with pneumonia. One of my family members was sent to the Hershey medical center. I'll admit it's been quite some time since I've been up that way and it always brings back a lot of old memories. In any case the painting pictured is the seascape of the New England coast which I sometimes do just to loosen up. It's titled Downeast Escape 14 x 20" on 140lb Arches watercolor paper. I have a lot of plans to do more painting and also start writing regular blogs. Another interesting fact is that most people don't know I'm also an advanced guitarist as well. I enjoy the arts and it's something that Keeps my mind right with things going on in this crazy world. I love painting seascapes because it makes me think of just letting my mind go and wander freely. I appreciate everyone that reads my new letters and blogs. If you feel like chatting please drop me a line and I'll respond as soon as I can. All the best. www.donwhitesel.com |
