With the arrival of the beautiful fall colors the weather has finally turned much colder and more seasonal. Not long ago someone recently suggested to me that I should do a painting of flowers that are a fall type of arrangement of colors. So it's from that idea that this painting was born. I think my latest watercolor painting (pictured) turned out quite well actually. The purple and lavender colors are used to complement the orange and greens. It measures 18 X 24 unframed so once it is set in a mat and frame it will be a good size. It's titled Kate's Autumn Harvest because of several reasons. My friend Kate selected the flowers and that was also the nickname of my Grandma. I like how this painting turned out and It's available on my website. Now it's time for me to get busy in the studio on more paintings! In addition to doing an few more floral paintings I'm also going to paint subjects like a pair of cardinal's, Snowy Owl, and landscapes of the fall / winter season. www.donwhitesel.com
